Loft 266

Last Thursday, Worcester Mag held their "On Tap" monthly get together at the new Loft 266 on Park Ave. Many of you will remember this was The Above Club when it was run by Paul Walker. He had many great punk and rock shows there, and I spent lots of time drinkin' and partying with some of our favorite Wormtown Bands. I just had to post some pictures so you could see the transformation that took place when they renovated the club. They are billing themselves as a sports bar now, so don't expect the rock to return any time soon.

TV's blasting sports crap in your face, and somehow I think pricey beers. Blah....

I never visited The Above Club, so I can't comment about what it was like or what it even looked like, but I must say that Loft 266 is a beautiful sports bar.

Justin, the owner, is a down-to-earth guy who knows how to make everyone feel at ease and he's quick to check-in with you.

I will be stopping by Loft 266 again very soon and I would recommend that Mike and others do the same.

Cheers!

16 oz Gansett's $2.50. Can't argue with that.
